Red Diadem beat Belle Fleur by 2 lengths Friday in the $52,300 feature race for older fillies and mares at Santa Anita in Arcadia. Red Diadem, ridden by Victor Espinoza, ran 6 furlongs on the turf course in 1:12.61 and paid $18.60, $7.20 and $4. The 4-year-old British-bred daughter of Pivotal earned $30,000 for her second victory in 10 starts to push her career total to $71,454. Belle Fleur returned $4.40 and $3.20, and Darkness Night paid $2.80 to show. Mayan King rules at Aqueduct: Mayan King fought off a strong stretch challenge from Monopoly Pricing for a half-length victory in the $58,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct in New York. Mayan King, a 5-year-old, won for the fifth time in 10 career starts. The winner set the pace in the 1 1/16-mile race until Monopoly Pricing poked a head in front in midstretch. Ridden by Mike Luzzi and trained by Gary Contessa, Mayan King was timed in 1:43.38 on a fast track. Mayan King, coupled in the betting with fourth-place finisher Malibu Moonshine, paid $5.70, $3 and $2.40. Monopoly Pricing returned $4.20 and $3.40.
