first_imgAS THE SEARCH continues for five-year-old April Jones, locals released Chinese lanterns into the sky in tribute to her last night.Sky News reports that the lanterns were lit after Jones’ parents asked for people to remember their little girl. It has been a week since April disappeared from near her home in the Welsh town.The Telegraph reports that police said they have to prepare for the time “when we accept that we might never find April” after more than seven days of intense searching.Yesterday, Mark Bridger (46), appeared in court on a number of charges, including abduction and murder. He was also accused of unlawfully disposing of and concealing April’s body with intent to pervert the course of justice.He appeared at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ court where he was remanded in custody to appear before Caernarfon Crown Court tomorrow.Bridger was described as being “emotional” during his court appearance.Read: April Jones murder suspect “tearful” in court>last_img
